The Opening Ceremony of the University Business Linkage Cell of Rajarata University

The Opening Ceremony of the University Business Linkage Cell of Rajarata University. University Business Linkage Cell of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka officially marked its grand opening on 17 th December 2019 at the location of Rajarata University Administrative premises. Dr. B.A Karunaratne Vice-Chancellor of the University opened the UBL Cell ceremonially. 

The event was a very colourful one with the participation of the Deans of the Faculties, the Coordinators of UBL Cell, members of the Advisory board and Administrative staff of the university. Director of UBL RUSL Prof. (Mrs). G.A.S Ginigaddara welcomed the gathering and explained the purposes, functions and future plans of the UBL Cell while expressing gratitude to all who contributed in different ways to this establishment.

 The chief guest addressed the gathering highlighting the importance of such university linkage cell and interfaces to connect the University with the industry and the community. He explained the innovative role played by the university to make an impactful contribution to the economy and society.

 The event made the history marking a big milestone of the university journey with the expectation of the becoming the national body to serve all the interested parties and inculcate innovative characteristics among all with the blessing of every party.

01st Advisory board meeting of UBL RUSL 05th July 2019

The advisory board of the UBL is the decision making body of the UBL works. It consists of Vice-Chancellor, deans of all faculties, UBL director, Bursar, nominated members of the council, and industrial experts. The 01st Advisory board meeting of UBL RUSL was held on 05th July 2019 with the presence of acting Vice-chancellor, deans, council members, bursar of the university and external industry experts. Director of the UBL cell Prof. GAS Ginigaddara introduced UBL cell, progress achieved so far and the plan of activities to the board. Industrial experts contributed their suggestions and as to how they can connect with the UBL cell in future works and what industry exected from university concerning innovations and researches and how the industry can involve and guide RUSL UBL to achieve its mission and vision.

• Coordinator’s Meeting

UBL Cell Coordinator’s Meeting

Second UBLCell coordinators’ meeting was held on 09th January 2020 at UBL Office premises to discuss the ways and means UBL cell to connect with each faculty in invention commercialization process. Cordinators from Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Medical and Allied Sciences, Faculty of Applied Science, Faculty of Technology, Faculty of Social Science and Humanities and Faculty of Management attended the meeting.

 

• 02nd Advisory Board Meeting

02nd Advisory board meeting 14th January 2020

The advisory board of the UBL is the decision making body of the UBL works. The 02nd Advisory board meeting of UBL RUSL was held on 14th January 2020 with the presence of acting Vice-chancellor, deans, council members, bursar of the university, and external industry experts. Director of the UBL cell Prof. GAS Ginigaddara introduced UBL cell, progress achieved so far and the plan of activities to the board.

Industrial experts contributed their suggestions with innovative and entrepreneurial culture development in University and alternative ideas on how the university could support solutions for industries. Industrial participation in University Symposium and developing innovative exhibitions were highlighted in this meeting.

• RUSL Signs MOU with NCPCCIA

Rajarata University of Sri Lanka (RUSL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with North Central Province Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture (NCPCCIA) through University Business Linkage Cell of RUSL on 27th January 2021 at the RUSL Premises.

Dr. B. A Karunaratne; Vice-Chancellor of the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, Deans of all the faculties and representatives. University Administrative staff representatives, UBL RUSL Director; Prof. (Mrs) G.A.S Ginigaddara and UBL Staff and, delegates from NCPCCIA participated in the event.
