In line with the Government’s National Dengue Prevention Programme, the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka successfully organized a university-wide dengue prevention programme on 31 July 2026. The initiative covered all faculties, centres, and administrative premises of the University and brought together academic, administrative, and non-academic staff, as well as students.

The programme demonstrated the University’s collective commitment to fostering a clean, healthy, and environmentally sustainable campus. Participants worked collaboratively to identify and eliminate potential mosquito breeding sites, improve environmental cleanliness, and promote awareness of the importance of dengue prevention. The initiative reflected RUSL’s continued dedication to supporting national public health programmes while encouraging shared responsibility in maintaining a safe and healthy university environment.
