The Staff Development Centre (SDC), Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, successfully conducted SDC Workshops 15, 16 and 17 on 15 and 16 September 2026 at the Faculty of Technology, bringing together academic, administrative, non-academic staff and university students through a series of programmes focused on positive attitudes, workplace wellbeing, professional excellence and personal development.
SDC Workshop 15 – “Positive Mindset, Workplace Wellbeing and Professional Excellence” was conducted on 15 September for Academic and Administrative Staff, while SDC Workshop 16 – “Happy at Work: Positive Attitudes for a Better Workplace” was conducted on the same day for Non-Academic Staff. These programmes focused on developing positive attitudes, strengthening workplace relationships, improving personal and professional wellbeing, and creating a happier and more productive university working environment.
SDC Workshop 17 – “Motivation for Life Goals” was conducted on 16 September for university students, in collaboration with the Career Guidance Unit. The programme encouraged students to identify meaningful life goals, develop a positive mindset, strengthen self-confidence and motivation, and take purposeful steps towards their personal, academic and professional futures.
Mr Ajith Jayawardhana, Lawyer, Higher Education Leader, Career Development Specialist, and Strategic Management Consultant, conducted all three workshops. His interactive and inspiring approach gave participants opportunities to reflect, engage, and connect the programme concepts with their everyday lives and professional responsibilities.
These workshops are part of the SDC’s continuing commitment to the professional development, wellbeing, and personal growth of the entire Rajarata University community, contributing to a more positive, supportive, and productive institutional culture.
The Staff Development Centre sincerely thanks the University administration, Faculty of Technology, Career Guidance Unit, supporting staff, resource person and all participants for their valuable contribution towards the successful completion of these programmes.
