Works Engineer Division
Statement of Function
The Works Engineer department is the management center for planning and implementing engineering design, construction and maintenance programs within the Engineering, Facilities Management and Road and Bridge Divisions. The function of the Works Engineer Department is to provide a complete infrastructure for transportation, drainage, communications, government buildings, within the University
General Functions
- Development of infrastructure facilities of the University under capital projects
- Rehabilitation and refurbishment work
- Maintenance of existing store
- Works Engineer Department has been actively involved in the designing and executing the infrastructure and buildings of the Rajarata University.
The Department consists of the following sections:
- Plumbing Section
- Civil Engineering Section
- Electrical Engineering Section
Principal duties and obligations :
- Assist and supervise the designing contractor in planing and designing Buildings, infrastructure, and services of the Rajarata University
- Manage the supervising contractor during the execution of different projects in Rajarata University.
Maintain Civil work such as :
- Painting
- Carpentry
- Steel welding
- Infrastructure
Maintain Electrical work such as
- Main electrical network
- Lightning
