

The US ambassador to Sri Lanka Mrs. Julie Chung visited the Kaludiyapokuna primate project, which is co-directed by Dr. Rajnish Vandercone of the Faculty of Applied Sciences of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka (www.kpcrc.org). His research focus on identifying traits that make certain species more susceptible to anthropogenic habitats changes than others. Through his work and assistance of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, he has been able to accommodate US Fulbright grantees and other research scholars in Sri Lanka.
