The Sixth Undergraduate Research Symposium of the Faculty of Medicine and Allied Sciences (URSFMAS 2024), organized by the Department of Community Medicine was successfully held on 22nd October 2024.
Prof. Nuwan Wickramasinghe, Coordinator of the Research in Medicine module, chaired the event, which featured presentations from 30 undergraduate research groups of the 2018/2019 FMAS batch. Students showcased their research across a range of health-related topics, reflecting strong academic engagement.
An expert review panel provided constructive feedback, enhancing the students’ learning experience and supporting the development of their research skills.
URSFMAS 2024 continues to serve as a platform for promoting undergraduate research and academic excellence within the faculty.
