The Alumni Association of the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka launched its official website on the 15th of July, 2022
The website was created with the intention of bringing scholars from Rajarata University from around the world into its association, promoting the welfare activities carried out by the association, promoting the actions undertaken for the betterment of the university, and expanding the privileges that can be offered to the members.
Members of this association have the option to sign up for membership online through this website. Additionally, a system has been set up here to deliver information for its members that need to be circulated immediately. As a result, programs have already been launched on the website to provide guidance to people looking for foreign education and employment, provide guidance and supportive systems for various courses, implement income-generating projects of the association, direct members to institutional training and employment opportunities, and bring members together in challenging circumstances.
The website was launched through Zoom technology by the Vice-Chancellor Professor Sanjeewani Ginigaddara on 15.07.2022. In paying attention to the suggestions made by the alumni both for the Association’s and university’s future initiatives, the Vice-Chancellor promised to take action to acknowledge the association and obtain their contribution.
Participants at this event were the Dean of the faculties, the Librarian, the Heads of the Academic and Non-Academic departments and units, alumni association representatives from every Faculty, and officers from the Mother Union of the alumni association. Following the website’s launch, plans were made to meet with the Vice-Chancellor specifically to explore how the association might help the university find solutions to its timeliness challenges.
