Inauguration of the 2023/2024 Undergraduate Intake – Faculty of Agriculture

The Faculty of Agriculture, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, proudly inaugurated its 2023/2024 batch of undergraduates on June 3, 2025, at the Faculty Auditorium. This momentous occasion marked the beginning of a new chapter for the incoming students as they embark on their higher education journey in agricultural sciences.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Dr. Janaka Pushpakumara, Acting Vice Chancellor of Rajarata University, and Professor G. V. T. V. Weerassoriya, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, together with the Deans of all six faculties, members of the academic and non-academic staff, and the parents of the newly entrants.

The event served not only as a welcome to the new students but also as an inspiration, reminding them of the importance of active engagement, leadership, and service in their university life. With this inauguration, the Faculty reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing future-ready graduates who will lead advancements in agriculture, sustainability, and rural development.
