Workshop on Fostering Research Collaboration for Entrepreneurial Impact

University Business Linkage Cell, in collaboration with the Research and Publication Committee of the Faculty of Technology, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, conducted a workshop titled “Fostering Research Collaboration for Entrepreneurial Impact” in partnership with the National Science Foundation (NSF). The workshop was organized for academics, students, government officers, and small and medium-scale entrepreneurs in the region and This workshop took place on 15th December 2025 at the University premises.
The primary objective of the workshop was to empower local youth and aspiring entrepreneurs by strengthening their entrepreneurial knowledge, skills, and access to resources.
The workshop was graced by Dr. Janaka Pushpakumara, Acting Vice-Chancellor of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. The resource persons included Eng. Mr. Mahesh Dissanayaka, Head of the Research Division, National Science Foundation (NSF); Dr. Inoka Sandanayaka, Scientific Officer, Research Division, NSF; and officials from the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD). The event was also attended by the Manager of the Bank of Ceylon, Mihintale Branch, along with government officers and small and medium-scale entrepreneurs from the region.
Furthermore, the workshop witnessed the participation of Prof. T. C. Bamunuarachchige, Dean of the Faculty of Technology; Dr. N. D. A. D. Wijeguwanardana, Director of the University Business Linkage Cell; Prof. Manoj Samarathunga, Former Director of the University Business Linkage Cell; as well as other esteemed academic and administrative staff members of the University.
