7th Advisory Board Meeting – University Business Linkage Cell, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka
The University Business Linkage (UBL) Cell of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka successfully conducted its 7th Advisory Board Meeting on 21st April 2026 via the Zoom platform.
The meeting was graced by the Vice Chancellor, along with the Deans of the respective faculties, the UBL Director, Registrar, Bursar, and esteemed external members.
The session served as an important platform to review ongoing UBL initiatives, discuss strategic directions, and strengthen collaborations between the university and industry partners. The valuable insights and guidance provided by both internal and external members are expected to further enhance the impact and outreach of UBL activities.
The meeting concluded with key insights and recommendations from the Advisory Board members, reinforcing the commitment of UBL to foster impactful collaborations and contribute to regional and national development.

Meeting with National Innovation Agency (NIA)
Strengthening University–Industry Linkages for a Vibrant Innovation Ecosystem
A productive meeting was held with the National Innovation Agency (NIA) on 27th April 2026 to discuss potential collaboration and capacity building in technology transfer and commercialization. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Muditha Senarath Yapa, Chief Innovation Officer of NIA.
The discussion was attended by Dr. Asha Wijegunawardana, Director of the UBL Cell, along with representatives from various faculties including Prof. Ranjith Edirisinghe, Dr. P.D Kahandage, Mrs. JNG Lalani and Mr. RMGHN Rathnayake.
This partnership marks an important milestone as we expand our presence in the innovation and commercialization landscape, creating pathways to transform university research, ideas, and technologies into real-world impact. We look forward to working together to strengthen innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry engagement for the benefit of society and national development.
