Research Excellence Awards-2025 was held on 8th October 2025 at the Main Auditorium of Faculty of Technology, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka with the aim of recognising, appreciating, encouraging, and honouring the academic staff members at Rajarata University of Sri Lanka (RUSL) who excel in research, innovation, and scholarly work.
The event was enriched by an inspiring keynote address delivered by Mr. Rohan Pethiyagoda, a distinguished biodiversity scientist, Linnean Medal Winner (2022), and Rolex Award Winner (2020). The Chief Guest of this occasion was Senior Professor Nilanthi De Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, whose presence added great prestige to the event.
The ceremony was further graced by Dr. P. H. G. J. Pushpakumara, Acting Vice-Chancellor of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, together with the Deans of the six faculties, dedicated academic and non-academic members, and invitees.
