The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH) of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka successfully hosted the International Research Symposium 2024 on 17th December 2024 under the theme “Developing Multidisciplinary Research for Sustainability.” This significant academic event brought together researchers and scholars to exchange ideas and foster collaboration across disciplines for sustainable development.

The symposium was honored by the presence of Dr. P.H.G. Janaka Pushpakumara, Acting Vice-Chancellor of Rajarata University and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Allied Sciences, who attended as the Chief Guest while a thought-provoking keynote address was delivered by Prof. Vishalache Balakrishnan from the Faculty of Education, University of Malaya.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the Dean of FSSH, as well as academic and non-academic staff of the faculty. Their engagement played a vital role in the success of the symposium, reinforcing FSSH’s commitment to advancing research that contributes meaningfully to national and global sustainable development agendas.
