Nutrition Day 2020” was successfully held on 11th February 2020 organized by the students of year 3 semester 2 (2015/2016) who are specialized in the Department of Animal & Food Sciences from 7.00 a. m. to 5.30 p. m. at the faculty premises.  Physical Education Unit of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka started the day with exercise programme.  Dr. S. M. A. C. Dilrukshi from Department of Ayurweda, Anuradhapura and Dr. Ananda Chandrasekara representing the Nutrition Society of Sri Lanka enlightened the day with two interesting lectures which shared useful guidance for a healthy life. An art competition added extra colour to the day with creative drawings on the topic of “good health”. Competitors were evaluated by judging panel and winners received the prizes and certificates. Delicious and watering healthy foods were served during the session. Together with academic staff, non-academic staff and students enjoyed the evening with games and entertainment activities. Special gifts were distributed to all participants. At the closing ceremony, Prof. A. M. J. B. Adikari, Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka pointed out the importance of health and appreciated the hard work of organizers. Dr. M. G. T. S. Amarasekara also addressed the event and added few words on importance on such events. Finally, the event was winded up with the vote of thanks proposed by the organizing committee. Arancia 2020 was successfully touched all hearts in happy towards the good health.
