The Department of Animal & Food Sciences was established in 27th March 2014, with the aim of is producing competent and innovative graduates with a sound theoretical and practical knowledge. This is full-fledged academic department which offers many learning and development opportunities across a wide array of disciplines for undergraduates to improve their knowledge and skills on different fields such as livestock production and technology, dairy production and technology, meat processing and production technology, food quality control and assurance, food production technology, postharvest technology and many more through two specialization modules: Animal Production and Technology, Food and Postharvest Technology. The Department provides unique academic package consist with theoretical courses and practical course which have been carefully blended with field exposure that enable the undergraduate to achieve social, economic and sustainable development in Animal & Food Science sector both in national and global level.
